DIY Baby Hat Sewing Pattern in sizes Preemie – 24 Months

I am so loving all the sewing for baby cuteness, so I made one more free pattern for you!  An adorbs  Baby Hat Sewing Pattern!  It comes in sizes preemie through 12 months so it is perfect for infants and big babies.  This cute little baby cap is made out of soft knit fabric and comes with a fitted top and a cuff that can be rolled up for more cuteness!  As you can see I had a lot of fun making them in a ton of different fabrics (all from spoonflower) and can coordinate with the Knot Bow Headband Pattern for the perfect baby shower gift.

A Scrappy Shabby Chic Strip Quilt

Wow, it has been quite around here.  I didn’t mean to go so long without posting but between a secret sewing project (to be revealed later) and focusing on family, I took a little longer break than usual.  So I am happy that I am finally getting around to blogging this scrappy shabby chic strip quilt.  This quilt was one of those WIPs that went on for several years.  In fact I started it when my oldest girl was 2.  I finished it earlier this year, but just hadn’t had a chance to snap some pictures.  I love all these florals that interact to give it a shabby chic look.

Easy DIY Baby Swaddle Blanket Pattern and Tutorial

Today I have another great baby project: Easy DIY Baby Swaddle Blanket Pattern and Tutorial which sews up quickly in 10 minutes..  This is perfect for anyone who wants to make a quick gift for a new baby!  Often many store bought swaddle blankets are never quite big enough to get a good swaddle, by making your own you can make one large enough for baby to grow and still wrap them up tight.  Also by using a knit, the fabric can breathe so baby doesn’t get too hot and has a slight stretch to it to help keep them snug.
