I've had this OLD ironing board cover long enough! I was looking to buy a pattern to make one but put it off. The other night I was scrolling through Instagram and this cool chick was showing off her new cover that she just made. I asked if she sold them because I wanted one and have been meaning to buy or make one for awhile now. She told me she didn't sell them but it was really easy to make it. She said she just eyeballed it! Ummmm. Seriously! OK...you've got my attention.
I feel like sometimes we over think things. I mean, this is just an ironing board cover. We are going to get glue, starch, interfacing and who knows what else on it. So just make it! No pattern. Life is as hard as we make it. Why not wing it sometimes? Turns out, I made a pretty darn good cover with just "eyeballing it" and you can too. Try it! I gave you numbered step by step directions below. That's all you'll need.
The fabric I used is called Mockingbird by Heather Bailey. It only took 2.5 yards of fabric. It took an entire roll of ribbon. 18 feet. I LOVE it.
